    This sturdy yet elegant wall clock can be called Arts & Crafts, although it does not come from England. It was designed by Albin Muller and made in a workshop in Germany. The design is entirely based on honest use of materials, beautiful lines and perfect proportions. It is an example of design as we have come to know it in the course of the twentieth century. There are also table models of this clock, but a wall model is not known. It is a very rare piece of early Art Nouveau of exceptional quality. The clockwork has been completely overhauled and runs perfectly.
  • Sobre el artista
    Albin Camillo Müller (13 de diciembre de 1871 - 2 de octubre de 1941), fue un arquitecto y diseñador alemán activo en Darmstadt. En 1906 fue nombrado miembro de la Colonia de Artistas de Darmstadt, donde se convirtió en el arquitecto principal tras la muerte de Joseph Maria Olbrich (1908). En 1907 fue nombrado profesor y de 1907 a 1911 enseñó Artes Aplicadas. En 1918, junto con Kasimir Edschmid, Albinmüller fue nombrado presidente del Consejo de Arte recién creado en Darmstadt. En 1926, Müller fue nombrado arquitecto de la Deutsche Theaterausstellung en Magdeburg. En 1934 se dedicó a la pintura de paisajes y también trabajó como escritor.
