  Romy van Rijckevorsel paints in an eclectic way. In her work you see many references to classical artists. (e.g. Gustav Klimt, decorative backgrounds, but also Egon Schiele). It is also eclectic because of the different styles: drawing, graffiti, painting and graphic elements. All these elements are very successfully combined into an organic whole in which there is also a handwriting lurking. That's very clever, because the combination of references and styles can also go wrong very quickly. In Romy's work, however, she stops at exactly the right time. The paintings are very postmodern in the sense of "anything is possible" and yet it is is not restless at all. On the one hand the works are very decorative and on the other hand also hard and almost provocative and vulgar. However, they are balanced, partly due to the strong composition.

  Romy van Rijckevorsel pinta de forma ecléctica. En su trabajo se ven muchas referencias a artistas clásicos. (por ejemplo, Gustav Klimt, fondos decorativos, pero también Egon Schiele). También es ecléctico por los diferentes estilos: dibujo, graffiti, pintura y elementos gráficos. Todos estos elementos se combinan con mucho éxito en un todo orgánico en el que también acecha una letra individual. Eso es muy inteligente, porque la combinación de referencias y estilos también puede fallar muy rápidamente. En el trabajo de Romy, sin embargo, se detiene exactamente en elmomento justo.

  Las pinturas son muy posmodernas en el sentido de que "todo es posible" y, sin embargo, no está inquieto en absoluto. Por un lado las obras son muy decorativas y por otro lado también duras y casi provocativas y vulgares. Sin embargo, están en equilibrio, en parte debido ala fuerte composición.
