    Evert Moll is best known for his paintings of the port of Rotterdam and shipping on the Nieuwe Maas from the period 1920-1930. There is a lot of work by the painter in a varying quality of whether or not speaking representations. This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful paintings by Evert Moll because of the appealing composition and the clear use of color.

  • Sobre el artista

    Evert Moll (1878-1955) nació en Voorbug. Allí vivió y trabajó hasta 1930, pero también en Londres (1899-1905), París, Rotterdam y La Haya donde murió. Autodidacta pero en contacto con Willem Maris (1844-1910) y miembro del Pulchri Studio. Además de pintor, trabajó también como marchante de arte. Sus obras se conservan en el Museo Zuiderzee y el Museo Boijmans-van Beuningen. Sus pinturas son un buen ejemplo de las habilidades con los paisajes marinos de Moll, un género en el que se especializó junto con las pinturas de paisajes.
